What is CIMS?

Short for Campaign Information Management System, it is a system for facilitating outreach campaigns using location-sensitive mobile data collection.

What does it do?

It enables MCDI's workers on Bioko to collect data using mobile computing devices with limited connectivity. It organizes forms and facilitates data entry by pre-filling information based on location.

Who made it?

The CIMS was developed by a number of contributors at the University of Southern Maine in collaboration with and funded by MCDI.

Can I use it?

Yes, with some work. CIMS is composed of a number of freely-available software packages, many of which are open-source. At a minimum you need an Android-based tablet and a networked computer.
